Sun Country addressing system outage, some flight delays continue
A third-party system outage is affecting Sun Country flights, the airline reported Thursday.
According to the airline, the outage was affecting all Sun Country flights.
Planes were temporarily grounded and takeoffs were delayed.
"We are working with this operator to resolve the situation as quickly as possible," the airline stated.
A 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS crew at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport reported that about two hours after the initial report, there didn’t appear to be crowds waiting to board.

In an updated statement at about 9:30 a.m., Sun Country said the airline is working with the FAA to clear flights for takeoff, however, continued delays were reported.
The airline also stated it is waiving change fees for any passengers scheduled to fly Thursday. Those changes can be made on the airline’s website, via the "My Trips" section.
