Stillwater community celebrates world snow sculpting championship

The world snow sculpting championship wrapped up in Stillwater on Sunday and gave locals the chance to enjoy unique artwork along with the weather that made it possible.

The snow sculptures, sledding and hot beverages all brought the Stillwater community together to celebrate the things that make Minnesota unique.

To some, it’s about bundling up and staying warm together.

Miss Minnesota Elle Gilbert thinks of the friendly neighbors who will help shovel another one’s driveway.

Overall, Minnesotans just try to make others feel welcome, and warm smiles can make a big difference when sticking it out in the bitter cold.
