One person died and another was injured after a crash along westbound Interstate 94 in Minneapolis on Wednesday morning.

The Minnesota State Patrol reported the single-vehicle crash happened near Franklin Avenue at about 7:07 a.m.

The State Patrol incident report states that a Ford Explorer rolled over in the area "due to poor driving behavior." The driver was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the Explorer, the State Patrol reported.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner identified the driver Saturday as Harry Jermaine Jackson, 47, who died from his injuries. The passenger — a 64-year-old man — suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Lane closures were temporarily in place and traffic was diverted onto Highway 280. Crews cleared the scene and lanes were open by 10:30 a.m.

The crash remains under investigation.
