There's nothing more meaningful than meeting your childhood hero.

Not only did Khadar Greer of St. Paul get to meet Kobe Bryant back in 2016, he got his autograph and even his warm-up jersey from the game.

"He made me feel like a superstar," Greer recalls.

The meeting was coordinated by his great grandmother, who made a video and posted it online.  In the video, she said it was time for Kobe to meet his biggest fan.

Greer met Kobe after his last game in Chicago in 2016.  He said the star gave him good advice that night.

"He told me that if you're struggling, keep fighting and fighting," Greer said.

He also gave him his signed warm-up jersey from the night and a book with a personal note to Greer on the front page.

Mementos and a memory that are now more priceless than ever.

"I try and have the mindset that legends never die," Greer said.

Greer is a junior at Highland Park Senior High School.  He plays point guard for the school's junior varsity basketball team.
