St. Paul Police: shooting injures man and family dog
Police in St. Paul are investigating a shooting that happened Tuesday afternoon in the 1300 block of White Bear Avenue.
Around 12:45 p.m., officers responded to a scene where a man was reported to be shot.
First responders located an adult male and a dog suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
The man was taken to a hospital by Saint Paul Fire Medics where he is being treated for his injuries. Police say he is expected to survive.
The canine victim was taken to a nearby animal hospital for treatment and is expected to survive.
Officers located and arrested a suspect who had fled the scene.
