St. Paul police searching for suspect, witnesses after fatal shooting in Greater East Side

The St. Paul Police Department is asking for your help finding the person who fatally shot a man overnight in St. Paul’s Greater East Side neighborhood.

Officers were called to the 1500 block of Jessamine Lane around midnight Tuesday morning for a man who was down in a parking lot, according to police.

When officers arrived, they found a man who appeared to have been shot. He was said to be unconscious and not breathing at the time.

Medical personnel then arrived and determined the man was dead.

No one is currently in custody for the shooting. St. Paul police are looking to find video surveillance systems in the area, as well as witnesses.

The victim’s name and age are expected to be released by St. Paul police, and the medical examiner’s office will determine the man’s cause of death.
