St. Paul officials to dismiss cases against peaceful protesters arrested following Floyd death

St. Paul city officials announced the city would dismiss cases against those arrested during peaceful protests following the death of George Floyd.

The announcement was made Friday by Mayor Melvin Carter and City Attorney Lyndsey Olson.

Olson also said her office may offer alternatives to traditional prosecution "for those whose conduct goes beyond peaceful protest."
According to Olson, there are a total of 100 cases being reviewed by her office in connection to those protests.
