St. Paul firefighters responded to two fires late Sunday and early Monday.

According to the fire department, one fire happened just before 11 p.m. Sunday at a home in the area of Lawson Avenue and Matilda Street.

Firefighters said no one was hurt in that fire.

Then, firefighters were called at about 1:15 a.m. Monday to another fire at a home along Cumberland Street just north of Lawson Avenue.

One person was able to safely exit that home.

Firefighters said they haven’t yet been able to confirm the cause of that fire, but said they suspect a tipped-over lamp might have started the fire.

Both incidents remain under investigation.
