The Saint Paul Downtown Alliance has a plan to bring more business to empty storefronts.
It’s the latest effort to help in the economic recovery of downtown following the pandemic.
The Alliance is trying to find 10 small businesses looking for low cost short-term leases in downtown St. Paul.
“That’s the goal of this program is really to fill some of those vacant spaces with some fresh energy,” Joe Spencer with the Alliance said. “The reality is there’s no playbook on how to recover from a pandemic and so this is just one strategy.”
If this plan works they hope to find more small business owners to fill empty storefronts.
