St. Croix County dispatch confirms officer-involved-shooting

UPDATE 9:10 p.m.:

St. Croix County dispatch confirmed that an officer-involved-shooting occurred Saturday, but would not say whether an officer was shot, or if an officer shot someone.

Several law enforcement agencies are sending support to St. Croix County Sheriff’s Office.

Hudson Police Department tweeted, “Our hearts and prayers are with St. Croix County Sheriff’s Office tonight.”

The Rice Lake Police Department posted on Facebook, “Our hearts go out to the St. Croix County Sheriff’s Office tonight. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.”

Hammond Police Department wrote on Facebook, “Our thoughts, prayers, and hearts are with the St. Croix County Sheriff’s Office.”

Osseo Rural Fire Department wrote on Facebook, “Prayers to those in St Croix County.”

Cumberland Police Department wrote on Facebook, “Our thoughts and prayers are with St. Croix County Sheriff’s Office. πŸ’™πŸ’”

On the Minnesota side of the river, Wabasha County Sheriff’s Office posted, “Our thoughts and prayers are with the St. Croix County Sheriff’s Office tonight, just over the border to our north.”


The Wisconsin Department of Transportation announced that a portion of Highway 128 at County Road G in Wisconsin is closed due to “law enforcement activity” in Glenwood City, Wisconsin.

The incident began around 7 p.m. and the agency handling it is the St. Croix County Sheriff’s Department. The incident was expected to end after two hours.
