Shooting leaves teen hospitalized in north Minneapolis; victim expected to survive
A 14-year-old boy is in the hospital after he was shot Sunday evening in the McKinley neighborhood of north Minneapolis.
According to the Minneapolis Police Department, officers responded to a ShotSpotter activation of more than 20 rounds fired just after 6 p.m.
Police found the victim near north 36th and Aldrich avenues with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. Officers gave him first aid before medics took him to the hospital.
Spent shell casings were found a block away, at 36th and Lyndale avenues, police said.
The victim did not give much information on the incident, and no arrests have been made.
