Shooting leaves 1 dead in St. Paul’s North End neighborhood

St. Paul police are investigating a deadly shooting in the city’s North End neighborhood on Wednesday night.
Officers responded to a shooting around 10 p.m. near the intersection of Manitoba Avenue West and Rice Street, police said. A man was found dead, marking the city’s 24th homicide of the year.
No one has been taken into custody, and police are still investigating the cause of the shooting as well as any potential suspects.
The man has been identified as 39-year-old Kenneth Wells of White Bear Township.
