Shooting at Coon Rapids apartment complex leaves 2 dead, 1 injured

Two men are dead and another is injured following a shootout Monday at a Coon Rapids apartment complex.
According to the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office, officers responded to a report of gunfire at 4:49 p.m. near 94th Avenue Northwest and Springbrook Drive. Emergency personnel arriving on the scene found three men who had been injured.
Investigators say they had gotten into an argument that led to an exchange of gunfire.
One victim was pronounced dead at the scene, the sheriff’s office said. The other victim was taken to the hospital, where he was later declared dead. The third man had minor injuries.
Law enforcement says there is no immediate danger to the public.
