Severe thunderstorm watch for parts of southern Minnesota, western Wisconsin
A severe thunderstorm watch has been declared for many parts of southern Minnesota and western Wisconsin on Tuesday.
According to the National Weather Service in the Twin Cities, the advisory will expire at 10 p.m.
Minnesota counties mentioned include Cottonwood, Jackson, Brown, Watonwan, Martin, Blue Earth, Renville, Nicollet, Le Sueur, Waseca, Faribault, Freeborn, Mower, Filmore, Houston, Winona, Olmsted, Dodge, Steele, Wabasha, Goodhue and Rice.
Wisconsin counties include Pepin, Buffalo, Trempealeau, Jackson, La Crosse, Vernon, Eau Claire, Monroe, Crawford, Richland, and Grant.
NWS states a couple of tornadoes are possible, isolated hail up to a size of a ping pong ball, and scattered gusts of winds up to 70 mph.
