Scattered thunderstorms, showers to dampen Minnesota Tuesday
After a sunny and hot Fourth of July weekend, Tuesday’s weather will feature some wetter conditions.
KSTP meteorologist Wren Clair says scattered thunderstorms and showers will return on Tuesday, bringing heavy rainfall at times in some areas of the state, mainly south of Interstate 94. Clair notes damaging winds and hail are the main threats for severe-type weather.
According to the National Weather Service, southern Minnesota and western Wisconsin will see strong-to-severe weather.
Additionally, temperatures are expected to drop later in the afternoon. Temperatures will be in the high 60s by nighttime.
More rainfall is expected by the end of the week as well.
