Scattered showers to dampen areas across Minnesota on Monday

Minnesota will see some pockets of rainfall throughout the afternoon on Monday.

Scattered storms will pop up across the north metro, metro and southern part of the state. The National Weather Service added parts of northern and central Minnesota will also see some rainfall on Monday.

Severe weather isn’t expected as of early Monday afternoon.

Some weak funnel clouds are possible this afternoon in southern Minnesota and far northwest Iowa, according to the NWS. Any funnel clouds that develop are expected to be brief and not touch the ground.
