Rep. Omar says her father died of complications from COVID-19

Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar announced her father died Monday night.
According to a release from her office, Nur Omar Mohamed died Monday due to complications from COVID-19.
"No words can describe what he means to me and all who knew him. My family and I ask for your respect and privacy during this time," Omar said in the release.
