Red Cross called to help family, cat displaced after Minneapolis house fire

No injuries were reported in an early-morning house fire in Minneapolis Saturday.
According to the Minneapolis Fire Department, firefighters responded to a home along the 2600 block of Dupont Avenue North at about 3:57 a.m.
Upon arrival, firefighters reported seeing large flames coming from inside the home’s first floor.
Firefighters were able to ensure everyone inside the home made it out safely and evacuated neighboring homes as a precaution.
The fire department reported the Red Cross was called to assist the family—consisting of two adults, three children and one cat—displaced by the fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
