Recount doubles Jacobson’s lead in Brooklyn Park mayoral race

Lisa Jacobson remains in front of the Brooklyn Park mayoral race after a recount of the special election results.

A recount from the Aug. 10 special election doubled Jacobson’s lead over Hollies Winston to two votes: 3,416-3,414.

Winston has challenged five ballots and Jacobson has challenged two. Those challenges will be presented to the city council on Monday at 6:30 p.m. before results are certified.
