One person in attendance spoke with KSTP about the need to make the protester’s voices heard.

"The time has come to make that change," the protester said. "All the people out in the streets, and all the people donating money and signing petitions all believe in that change."

According to police, five people were arrested following the protests. A spokesperson with the Minneapolis Police Department stated that one of the arrests was for probable cause damage to property. The other four were for misdemeanors.
