Pregnant teen, pregnant woman among 4 shot with potentially automatic gun in Minneapolis
A pregnant teen and a pregnant adult woman were shot late Friday night in the Hawthorne neighborhood of Minneapolis’ Near North community, according to the Minneapolis Police Department.
In total, responders took four people – two of which had potentially life-threatening wounds – to area hospitals for gunshot injuries.
Police say they responded to the shooting, which may have involved an automatic gun, just before midnight on Friday.
Early information suggests shots were fired from a vehicle near 2107 Fourth St. N.
Police say a pregnant 17-year-old girl and a man in his 30s had potentially life-threatening gunshot wounds. Additionally, a pregnant woman in her 20s and another man in his 30s had non-life-threatening wounds.
Police have not arrested anyone in connection to the incident.
The Minneapolis Police Department is investigating. No further information has been provided about possible suspects or the weapons used in the incident.
