Police: Victim injured from Richfield shooting died

On Saturday, the Richfield Police Department reported that the man who suffered from multiple gunshots Friday was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to the department, officers were called to a parking lot along East 77th Street on a report of a man who had been shot.

Upon arrival, officers found the victim unresponsive and appeared to suffer from numerous gunshot wounds to his upper body. He was later pronounced dead at the scene, said police.

Witnesses at the scene reportedly told police a vehicle with two male occupants was seen leaving the area.

Police reported the incident remains under investigation and anyone with information is asked to call the department at 612-861-9800.

The man’s identity will be released at a later time once the medical examiner notifies the family.
