1 seriously hurt, another injured in Minneapolis encampment shooting
A man is seriously injured and another is hurt after a shooting and a stabbing inside a homeless encampment in the Phillips west neighborhood of Minneapolis on Sunday night.
A 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS photographer at the scene on the 2800 block of Columbus Avenue captured Minneapolis police officers processing the scene around 7 p.m.
A spokesperson for Minneapolis police said a man with at least one potentially life-threatening gunshot wound and another man with a non-life-threatening wound from an apparent stabbing were taken to Hennepin Healthcare.
Law enforcement is still working to determine if, or how, the stabbing and shooting are connected. No arrests have been made.
