Police: Man surrenders peacefully after standoff in St. Paul
Police say a man surrendered himself peacefully to officers after a standoff in St. Paul.
According to the St. Paul Police Department, officers were called just after 2:30 p.m. on the report of shots fired in the area of Wakefield Avenue and Forest Street North.
When officers arrived to the area, they heard more gunshots. Officers learned the shots came from a home on Wakefield Avenue.
Police formed a perimeter around the home and began attempts to contact the man inside of the home. After about 40 minutes, the man surrendered peacefully, police said.
