Police: Man shot in chest in southeast Rochester

Police say 38-year-old man was injured in a shooting early Friday morning in southeast Rochester.

KAAL-TV, a Hubbard-owned station, says officers were called just after 12:45 a.m. to the 1600 block of 8 ½ Street Southeast on the report of a shooting.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found a man who had suffered a gunshot wound to the chest.

The man was taken to an area hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

Police say this marks the second shooting this week at the address in question. The first shooting occurred Wednesday. No injuries were reported in that incident.
