Police: Man dies from gunshot wound, 1st homicide of 2022 in Minneapolis

Minneapolis Police Officers responded to shots fired and calls of a vehicle that had crashed into other parked cars around 9:40 p.m. Saturday in the 4200 block of 11th Avenue South.
When police arrived they found a man lying in the street and performed CPR.
Officers noticed the man had been shot and he was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center where he later died.
Police said this is the first homicide of 2022 in Minneapolis.
The medical examiner is expected to release the man’s identity and cause and nature of death soon.
