Police investigating woman’s ‘suspicious’ death in Minneapolis

Police in Minneapolis are investigating the "suspicious circumstances" surrounding a woman’s death Tuesday morning.

According to Minneapolis Police, officers were called to the 3300 block of Sheridan Avenue North at 9:21 a.m. When they arrived, officers found a woman believed to be in her 50s unconscious. She was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Police said, based on the suspicious circumstances, a homicide team is investigating her death.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the woman’s name and cause of death at a later time.
