Police investigating robbery at Speedway in Woodbury
Woodbury police are investigating a reported robbery at a Speedway convenience store.
According to police, officers were called to the Speedway on Lake Road Terrace just before 4 a.m. Tuesday after a store manager said an employee had reported being robbed at gunpoint.
The lone employee told police a man was lingering in the store and then left. A short while later, the man returned, approached the register with his hand near his waistline — which showed a handgun — and then drew the gun, tapped it on the counter and told the employee, "give me everything."
The employee complied and the man then ran away.
Police say the suspect is described as a white, 5’9 man, and was wearing an olive-green sweatshirt with the hood up, a dark face mask, jeans and gloves at the time. He was also wearing a baseball cap that appeared to have the Twins "TC" logo or something similar on it.
The investigation remains active.
