2 shot at North Mississippi Regional Park
UPDATE 8:15 a.m. – Minneapolis Park Police say two people were shot late Sunday night at North Mississippi Regional Park.
According to Minneapolis Park Police, officers were called to the park for a report of a shooting around 11:40 p.m.
When officers arrived, police tell 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS they found an 18-year-old man and a teenaged boy who had been shot.
Police say both of the people shot were listed as being in stable condition when they were taken to the hospital.
No other details were immediately provided by Minneapolis Park Police.

INITIAL REPORT 6 a.m. – Minneapolis police haven’t released any details regarding an investigation at North Mississippi Regional Park in North Minneapolis.
Multiple police vehicles and crime scene tape could be seen in the area around midnight.
A witness who wished to not be identified spoke to 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS regarding their account of the incident.
“They were playing – I believe a game or something – and somebody stepped on somebody’s foot by accident probably. And one thing led to another, few words got exchanged and somebody got shot, I believe in the arm or hand, and everybody scattered,” claimed the witness.
