Police investigating homicide in North Minneapolis
Minneapolis police are investigating after a man in his 20s was pronounced dead in North Minneapolis Tuesday night.
Police said they responded around 8:20 p.m. to a ShotSpotter activation in the area of North Fourth Street and 36th Avenue North.
Officers found a man with gunshot wounds in a nearby alley. Police said they rendered aid until paramedics arrived, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Minneapolis Police Public Information Officer Garret Parten said they are “working with very limited information as to what occurred tonight.”

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office is expected to release the man’s identity along with the nature and cause of death.
Minneapolis police report the incident marks the eighth homicide of this year.
