Police investigating fatal shooting in Hopkins

Police say a man is dead after he was shot Sunday night in Hopkins.
According to the Hopkins Police Department, the shooting happened near Blake Road North and Lake Street at about 7:42 p.m.
Officers who responded found a man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The police department is investigating the incident as a homicide.
Police said they believe this was an isolated incident and that there is no threat to the public.
Police said they are continuing to investigate the incident. As of early Monday, they said they had not yet made any arrests in connection with the incident.
