Police investigating deadly shooting in north Minneapolis
Police are investigating a deadly shooting Saturday night in the Willard-Hay neighborhood of north Minneapolis.
According to police spokesman John Elder, police responded to a ShotSpotter activation just after 9 p.m. on the 2600 block of Upton Avenue North. Officers headed to the scene were advised it was a shooting.
When officers arrived, they were unable to find a victim. According to Elder, a few minutes later, the officers were told a man turned up at North Memorial Health Hospital with a gunshot wound. That victim later died at the hospital.
As of Saturday night, investigators say they have no information on what led to the shooting.
