Police: Bullet flies into room with infant, young child sleeping in St. Paul; barely misses crib

Police are investigating gunshots fired in the Dayton’s Bluff neighborhood of St. Paul late Monday night.

According to St. Paul Police, officers responded to the 1200 block of Wilson Avenue at 11:55 p.m. after several people reported hearing gunshots. There, officers found 10 shell casings lying in the street and four bullet holes in a nearby apartment.

Police also said one bullet ended up in a room where a 5-month-old and 2-year-old were sleeping, missing the infant’s crib by only about 12 inches.

Nobody was injured.

The investigation is ongoing.
