Planning for a pandemic holiday season, Target to close Thanksgiving Day
Monday, Target announced upcoming changes as it considers what the rest of 2020 might look like amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Those plans include closing on Thanksgiving Day.
In a release, the Minneapolis-based retailer stated it would close its stores Thanksgiving Day, but that there will be "plenty of opportunities to score the best deals … both before and after Nov. 26."
Additionally, the retailer will make holiday deals available both in-store and online starting in October to help prevent crowds in stores.
Meanwhile, the retailer announced it will be making about 20,000 more products available for pickup and delivery by the fall.
