Pilot dead in helicopter crash near Elgin in southeast Minnesota
A helicopter pilot died in a crash Monday evening near Elgin, Minnesota, the Wabasha County Sheriff’s Office said.
The Robinson R-44 helicopter crashed just before 4 p.m. in a field just southeast of the town of Elgin, roughly 10 miles northeast of Rochester, authorities said.
The sheriff’s office identified the pilot as 40-year-old Corey Adcock of Victoria County, Texas.
The Federal Aviation Agency and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the crash.
No other information was immediately available.
