Overnight shooting in south Minneapolis leaves man seriously injured
A man who was shot in the head early Sunday morning in south Minneapolis is hospitalized with serious injuries.
According to the Minneapolis Police Department, officers responded to a reported shooting around 12:30 a.m. north of Lake Street on 14th Avenue South. Police found a 45-year-old man in the street who had suffered a gunshot wound to the head.
Officers provided aid to the victim until medics could take him to the hospital. Police say his injuries are “potentially life-threatening.”
At least one shot was fired from a car that fled the scene before officers arrived, early investigation shows.
No arrests have been made.
