Cause of overnight Brooklyn Park apartment fire under investigation, no injuries reported

Fire officials say no one was injured during an overnight apartment fire in Brooklyn Park.

According to Brooklyn Park police, crews were called to the Huntington Apartments on the 5800 block of 73rd Avenue at 2:40 a.m. for a report of a possible kitchen fire.

When crews arrived, they found smoke coming from a ground-level window, as well as residents who were outside. Firefighters could also see some small flames inside the apartment through the smoke, and they raised a second alarm.

Multiple fire departments responded to the scene, and the fire was put out quickly, according to police.

No one was injured during the incident.

As of this time, the Brooklyn Park Fire Marshal Division is investigating the cause of the fire.

At one point, a second alarm was raised, however, that was soon canceled.
