Officer assaulted in New Prague

An officer was assaulted in New Prague Thursday morning.

According to the Scott County Police Department, an officer made a traffic stop due to a driving complaint report made along the 500 block of Sixth Street Northwest.

The officer was assaulted during the traffic stop but did not have any serious injuries, according to the department.

One person was taken into custody.
