On World Mental Health Day, The Look Within dropped its second line of clothing to its followers on social media. Its newly released clothing is going to support organizations helping people struggling with mental health.
Created, designed and printed by Dolan Tierney, the signature hoodie highlights the focus of mental health with a heart intertwined within the brand’s design.
"This is a human thing," Tierney said. "This is helping people seek happiness and realizing that it’s within them."
The Look Within donates 40% of its profits to local organizations.
When asked why start this, and why focus on mental health, Tierney tells 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS he’s worried about the unrest, increase of violence in his community and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
"It’s bigger than just a hoodie, it’s bigger than me," he said.
The Look Within shared its next round of clothing on Saturday — pre-orders can be made on Sunday. So far it has donated around $900 to Minnesota Adult & Teen Challenge. With hopes that the second drop goes well, Tierney says he hopes to expand to other organizations in the future.
