Motorcyclist killed in Mounds View crash

A motorcyclist was killed in crash in Mounds View Wednesday night.

The 42-year-old man from Princeton, Minnesota, was traveling along Highway 10 at about 8:24 p.m. when the crash happened, according to a Minnesota State Patrol incident report.

The report states the motorcyclist was in the eastbound lanes of the highway, traveling at a high rate of speed, when he reportedly failed to negotiate the curve to southbound Interstate 35W.

The motorcycle caught gravel, the report states, and the motorcyclist crashed.

Authorities said alcohol was not believed to be a factor in the crash.
