Motorcyclist dies in crash on I-494 in Bloomington

A 37-year-old Richfield man is dead after crashing his motorcycle early Sunday morning on Interstate 494 in Bloomington.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the crash happened just after 3:30 a.m. over Interstate 35W.
The motorcyclist was in a Honda CBR600 headed west on I-494 when he lost control and crashed into the median. He was then hit by a Volkswagen GTI traveling in the eastbound lanes.
The deceased motorcyclist will be identified at a later time.
