A crisis has unfolded after a powerful storm system devastated parts of the Midwest.
Hundreds of thousands without power days after Midwest storm
"It’s just destruction everywhere," Patrick Tecklenburg, who lives in Cedar Rapids, said. "All I heard was chainsaws and ambulances for quite awhile. It was just an absolute mess."
It could still be several more days before energy is restored but Minnesotans are sending down supplies to lend a helping hand.
Northern Tool and Equipment in the Twin Cities shipped several generators to the Hawkeye State.

"We’ve sent extra storm trucks, so that’s our verbiage for sending extra whatever they need, in this case, it’s going to be generators," Jordan Kenyon with Northern Tool & Equipment said.
More than 10 million acres, which is about 43% of Iowa’s crops, were affected by the storm.
