Minnesota marine found dead off coast of Okinawa

A Minnesota marine has been found dead off the coast of Okinawa, Japan.
The family of Lance Cpl. Eric John Niss-De Jesus said he was swimming with fellow marines when they were caught in a rip current. While the others were able to make it to shore, Niss-De Jesus was not.
Search crews located his body Wednesday.
Niss-De Jesus’s family said he’s originally from Mountain Lake, Minnesota, and graduated from Mountain Lake High School in 2015. He was also a University of Minnesota graduate.
