Negotiations between Minneapolis Public Schools, union enter Day 11
Friday marks the eleventh day of the Minneapolis teacher strike, with more than 30,000 students out of the classroom for nine days.
The Minneapolis School District says negotiations continue with the union, and proposals have been going back and forth.
District leaders add they’d like to get students back in the classroom as they try to work out a deal and say the union hasn’t responded to that request.
Meanwhile, teachers are set to picket again Friday morning starting at 7:30 a.m., and a rally is planned for 3:30 p.m. outside the governor’s residence in St. Paul.
