Minneapolis police investigating homicide in Cedar-Riverside neighborhood

Minneapolis police are investigating a shooting that occurred inside of a business in the Cedar-Riverside neighborhood of Minneapolis Tuesday night.

According to a police spokesperson, officers were called at 7 p.m. to a business on the 400 block of Cedar Avenue on the report of a robbery.

When they arrived, they found a man who was shot several times. The police spokesperson said the man later died at Hennepin County Medical Center.

According to police, it is believed a man entered the store and attempted to rob it. During the incident, the victim was shot.

It is believed the suspect fled the scene in a car.
