Minneapolis police investigating fatal shooting near Loring Park
A man died in the hospital Sunday morning after a shooting in the city’s Loring Park neighborhood, the Minneapolis Police Department says.
Officers went to the scene of a shooting around 5:20 a.m. outside a business at 1618 Harmon Place.
Police say they provided first aid after they found a 28-year-old man with life-threatening gunshot wounds.
The man was taken to Hennepin Healthcare, where he later died.
Early police information indicates an argument escalated to gunfire outside an “unlicensed after-hours party.”
No one has been arrested, and police ask anyone with information to call CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or submit an online tip.
Police did not describe any possible suspects.
