Minneapolis police investigating fatal shooting
Authorities are investigating a fatal shooting Friday night in Minneapolis.
Just before 9 p.m., officers were flagged down at the intersection of Longfellow Avenue and East 26th Street by motorists who said a passenger in their vehicle was suffering from an apparent life-threatening gunshot wound, according to a spokesperson for MPD.
Officials say the motorists were en route to the hospital when they flagged down officers.
The 19-year-old man was declared dead at the scene. He was later identified as Mohamed Ahmed Ade.
An initial investigation indicated the shooting happened on the 1700 block of Glenwood Avenue.
No arrests have been made at this time.
