Minneapolis police investigating after group accesses Edison High School
Minneapolis Public School (MPS) district officials say police are investigating an incident after they say a group of people who weren’t students accessed one of the schools Wednesday morning.
According to a district spokesperson, a group of young people gained entry to Edison High School, but left without incident after they were “immediately approached by school staff.”
District officials didn’t provide a time for when the incident happened, and didn’t provide a description of the people who accessed the building.
A spokesperson says the district is working with Minneapolis police as the investigation continues.
MPS leaders say their top priority is making sure everyone who is inside a school within the district is safe.
