Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey delivers 2022 budget address
On Friday, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey delivered his 2022 city budget address and release the budget proposal on Friday.
Frey’s remarks focused on his administration’s affordable housing work, community safety investments, economic inclusion and the city’s recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.
The mayor proposed a 2020 budget totaling $1.599 billion, which comes with a 5.45% levy increase.
It includes a gradual $2.6 million increase for youth programming and $120 million in federal relief funding.
