Minneapolis man charged in connection to death of ex-girlfriend's brother
A Minneapolis man has been charged in connection to the shooting death of his ex-girlfriend's brother.
The Hennepin County Attorney's Office announced Wednesday that Ryan Frazier has been charged with second-degree murder in connection to the death of Brandon Salter.
According to the attorney's office, Frazier was arrested in Chicago earlier this week.
A criminal complaint says Frazier's ex-girlfriend heard pounding on her door on the night of June 4 and saw his current girlfriend outside of her home. The complaint says Frazier's girlfriend was yelling at her to come outside and fight.
She called 911 and asked her brother, Salter, to come over because she feared Frazier might be around.
The complaint goes on to say the two women then got into a fight. The woman told police when her brother arrived, she heard Frazier say he was going to shoot him a number of times.
When the woman was able to free herself from Frazier's girlfriend, she ran inside her house. When she got inside, she heard "several gunshots," according to the complaint.
Witnesses told police they saw Frazier with a gun, and saw him chase Salter and then fire several shots at him.
Salter was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.
